Dr. Steve Paragioudakis is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. He speaks both English and Greek.

Dr. Paragioudakis primarily specializes in the treatment of back pain, lower back pain, and lumbar radiculopathy. He also specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital, chronic, or acute spinal disorders, as well as all types of back problems.

Dr. Steve Paragioudakis, MD has built a distinguished career over more than three decades, earning recognition for his contributions to both research and surgical practice. Notably, in 2000, his groundbreaking study on low back pain earned him the prestigious International Volvo Award for Low Back Pain Research, highlighting his influence in the field.

As a renowned orthopedic spine surgeon, Dr. Paragioudakis founded Orthopedic Spine Specialists of NJ, where his expertise and entrepreneurial spirit have thrived. He also co-founded the Center for the Functional Restoration of the Spine (CRFS), which serves patients at locations in Toms River, Shrewsbury, and Edison, New Jersey.

Throughout his career, Dr. Paragioudakis has been dedicated to helping patients achieve successful outcomes through both surgical and non-surgical treatments. His practice focuses on a range of spine conditions, including acute, congenital, and chronic disorders. He has extensive experience in treating conditions such as degenerative disc disease, spinal trauma, herniated discs, tumors, scoliosis, infections, and sports-related injuries.

Dr. Steve Paragioudakis, MD is a highly regarded expert in his field, with a strong background in both academia and medical practice. He began his academic journey at Johns Hopkins University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then pursued his medical education at Rutgers, graduating from the School of Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS). Following medical school, Dr. Paragioudakis continued his training through an internship and orthopedic residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.

His specialization in spine surgery led him to complete two advanced fellowships. The first was at Stanford University in Palo Alto, where he honed his skills in cutting-edge spine surgery techniques. He then completed a second fellowship at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, further expanding his expertise in spinal care.
